How to make more decisions decisively

Slack is a piece of so-called project-management software used by many companies. It’s extremely popular in the BA and among firms with legions of software developers.

No company I start, stake or take over will ever use Slack.

I know absolutely nothing about its functionality. I have never used it. I don’t remember seeing a single screenshot’s worth of this software. I can’t tell you anything about its pricing or effectiveness. Because I don’t know anything about either.

You could say I know absolutely nothing about the company and its product beyond the brand name itself.

And I will never bother knowing anything.

It’s not even about the negative neuroprogramming of having “slack” shoved in your face every day encouraging your to be lazy.

I’d be lying if I told you that my decision-making went even that far.

Although I can give you that and a half-million other reasons why you shouldn’t be using anything called “slacked” and why we should never speak nor think of it ever again.

I’m not sharing this with you as some weird pet peeve of mine. It’s a lesson in decision-making that the vast majority of people need to learn.

Badly.
